And if anything happens out-of-hours? Regardless of the time, we’ll be there to put things right again.
We specialise in complete electrical installations within your premises, project-managing teams of electricians to ensure your installation goes perfectly. We can also provide a full range of electrical repairs, along with planned preventative maintenance to make sure your electrics are tested regularly. All services we offer are carried out by fully trained professionals.

EICR Testing
Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR) must be carried out in commercial premises every five years. This involves the testing of your electrical installations by a skilled person in line with BS 7671 standards to ensure they are safe. We’ll make sure this testing is completed on time and by a qualified person.
An EICR will highlight any issues with your electrical installation. Once the EICR has been completed, we’ll work with you to remedy any problems identified.

FAQs
How do I know if my electrical installation is safe?
The only way to check your electrical installation is safe is to have it thoroughly tested by a qualified person. If you are concerned about your electrical system, we’ll provide a complete assessment and then work with you to remedy any problems identified.
How do I know if someone is competent to carry out electrical work?
A competent person is someone registered as an electrician with the necessary qualifications, experience, and skills required. We only ever work with fully qualified electricians, in line with all rules and requirements, so you can be sure all work on your building is carried out correctly and in accordance with all relevant laws.
Can I carry out electrical work in my business myself?
As you might imagine, there are many regulations surrounding electrical work. In a nutshell, they state that you can complete minor work, but a trained electrician must carry out more complex jobs. But we recommend all electrical work, however simple or complex, is completed by an electrician, to ensure the safety of your staff and visitors. Working with us ensures every job is done safely and correctly.
How often should an EICR be carried out?
An EICR should generally be carried out every five years, although some buildings, such as factories, will need more regular testing. We’ll advise you on how regularly an EICR is required on your building.
How quickly should issues found on an EICR report be corrected?
Your report will highlight issues as one of four categories. C1 requires immediate action, C2 needs urgent action, C3 advises that improvements are recommended, and FI means further investigation is necessary. Electrical Safety Standards require any issues to be resolved within 28 days. We will work with you to ensure all work is completed within that timeframe.

Electrical Equipment Testing
One of our most vital roles is the periodic testing of electrical equipment, ensuring it’s safe to be used within your building. The testing, called Portable Appliance Testing (PAT), is simple and carried out by a qualified electrician. Any building – including offices, shops, schools, hospitals, and hotels – containing portable electric equipment should consider PAT testing.
There’s no specific requirement for PAT testing, but having it done helps you meet requirements from the HSE that require you to protect the health, safety, and welfare of anyone using your building. We generally advise that PAT testing is carried out annually, but there are times, such as when an appliance is used heavily, that more regular testing is prudent.

What Does PAT Involve?
During your PAT, all relevant electrical appliances, including IT equipment, kitchen equipment, and general office equipment, will be tested. Along with the actual appliance, its lead and plug will also be inspected.
Should an appliance fail the test, we will see if it can be fixed. If not, we’ll work with you to identify the most suitable replacement. Any failed appliance must not be used and should instead be unplugged and removed.

FAQs
How do I know if my electrical equipment is safe?
The only way to ensure a piece of electrical equipment is safe is by having it tested by a qualified electrician. We usually recommend testing all equipment at least once a year.
What does the law say about the testing of electrical equipment?
There is no law mandating that you test your electrical equipment. Still, as a business owner, you have a duty to protect the health and welfare of your employees, as per the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989. Therefore, most business owners carry out PAT testing regularly.
Should a record of electrical appliance testing be kept?
There’s no requirement to record the results of tests, but it is advisable to do so. When we carry out your PAT testing, we will keep complete records, so you can refer to them whenever needed.
What should I do if I think an electrical appliance is unsafe?
If you even have the slightest inclination that an electrical appliance is unsafe, you should stop using it immediately. You should then contact us so we can assess whether it’s safe to use or whether it needs repair or replacement.
Should new electrical equipment be tested?
There is no need to test new equipment, as the fact it’s new shows it should be safe, providing it shows the CE Mark. But all products should be tested annually or in line with our recommendations.
